Our history

Our driving school has its origins in1966, the founding year of theColot driving school, one of the first driving training establishments in Brussels. From the very beginning, the institution has distinguished itself by its seriousness, pedagogical rigor, and its commitment to preparing drivers for the increasing demands of road safety.

In1989, in response to the constant evolution of mobility and the regulatory transformations of the driving licence, several historic Brussels driving schools decided to come together. From this union, theEuropean Driving Schools, were born, with a clear ambition: to pool expertise, modernise driving instruction, and offer a more structured training, adapted to the new realities of the road.

This grouping is part of a context of major reforms initiated since the late 1960s: strengthening road safety standards, standardising exams, and increasing requirements for training establishments. Where many driving schools have failed to adapt, the European Driving Schools have been able to anticipate and evolve.

Since then, we have accompanied each reform with rigor and professionalism: computerisation of the theoretical exam, introduction of the risk perception test, modernisation of teaching methods, constant renewal of our fleet of vehicles and adaptation to new learning standards.

Today, theEuropean Driving Schoolshave established themselves as a reference in Brussels. With a heritage that began in 1966 and structured since 1989, we combinetradition, expertise and modernityto support each student with seriousness, kindness and responsibility on the road to success.
